Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that one casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the said Parish Council.

At the Parish Council meeting held on Monday 24th September 2018 it was agreed to undertake a further consultation on the siting of the Middleton memorial. The consultation is being distributed to households in Middleton.

There was less of the "back to school" feeling than usual to the September Parish Council meeting because a meeting had been held in August and work on the Middleton Remembers Project was on-going over the summer.

Derbyshire Dales residents are being urged to have their say on possible changes to their waste and recycling collections before a public consultation closes on 23 September.
The District Council, which organises collections across 34,000 Dales households, has started the process of shaping the future collection service ahead of the current contract with Serco ending in August 2020.

Middleton Remembers: Consultation on siting of Middleton Memorial and Heritage Research Volunteering Opportunity
A well-attended meeting at the Village Hall on 25th July 2018 heard of plans for the Middleton Memorial and proposals for the Heritage Research project.
Following the meeting, the Parish Council has written to residents to seek the views of the wider community on the siting and design of the Memorial and to invite volunteers to take part in the Heritage Research Project.
