Derbyshire Dales Annual Electoral Registration Canvass 2022

DDDC is in the process of starting its annual electoral registration canvass and we have been asked to help them inform local residents of this.

"As an overview the annual canvass ensures that Derbyshire Dales District Council can keep the electoral register up to date. It aims to identify any residents who are not registered to vote so that they can be encouraged to do so.

It is anticipated that the canvass letters and emails will start to arrive with Derbyshire Dales households from 12 July 2022 and it is expected that we will send letters to around 21,000 households and emails to 15,000 electors for whom we hold an email address. The email will come from electoral@derbyshiredales.gov.uk

As in previous years we would ask that residents monitor their junk/spam folder as some email providers may identify this correspondence as junk mail and respond accordingly.

The hybrid system of sending out letters and emails is designed to reduce the cost of the annual canvass, which, previously, was carried out by post.

If any resident hasn't received either a letter or email by 25 July they should contact the District Council by calling 01629 761335 or emailing electoral@derbyshiredales.gov.uk

If we do not receive a response to our initial canvass communication we are obliged to send a reminder therefore a response to the initial communication would be appreciated."
