Middleton Parish Council Report January 2021

Derek Renshaw has been co-opted to the Parish Council. Two casual vacancies remain – please see below for details of how to apply. Members welcomed Cllr Renshaw to the Council.

A report by DCC Planning Service Enforcement and Rights of Way Officers following a meeting with the Manager of Dene Quarry about the restoration of the paths at Dene Hollow has been received. A meting with Parish Council representatives is to be arranged.

Cllr Irene Ratcliffe is giving £250 from her DCC Leadership Fund towards the cost of a speed gun to enable community speed monitoring in the village.

January sees the consideration of budgets for the following year. The Council has set a Council Tax neutral budget of £13,350 for Financial Year 2021-22.

Casual Vacancies

The Parish Council currently has two casual vacancies, and nominations are invited from individuals interested in being co-opted to the Parish Council. If you'd like to discuss what the role entails please contact the Parish Clerk on 07717 137 526. Co-option will be by short inter-view at the next available meeting of the Parish Council, these are held at 6.45pm on the second Monday of the month.
