Middleton Parish Council – December Report: Vacancies, Parking & Middleton Memorial

Vacancies

The Parish Council currently has four vacancies. If you would like to be considered for co-option please contact the Parish Clerk.

Parking – Please Park Considerately

Concerns have been raised regarding parking at:

  • Main Street; vehicles obstructing access/egress to drives and in some cases doorways,
  • The Village Green; visibility from Water Lane/Duke Street begin reduced by parked vehicles
  • New Road; bus turning point occasionally blocked by parked vehicles.

Following correspondence with DCC Highways the Parish Council is inviting a representative of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team to attend to discuss the next steps.

Parking is inevitably a difficult issue, but many of these problems can be lessened with a little forethought; the message is "please park considerately".
