Middleton Parish Council has received a National Lottery grant of £9,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the Middleton Remembers project. Awarded through HLF's First World War then and now programme, the project will find out as much as possible about the soldiers of Middleton who died during the First World War in time for the centenary of the end of the war in November this year.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council took place on Monday 14th May 2018 where Cllr Dawn Greatorex was re-elected Chair and Cllr Rob Rawlinson vice Chair.

At the December meeting of the Parish Council Cllr Dawn Greatorex congratulated Cinema Middleton on their success in securing a National Lottery Awards for All grant of £9,132 which will go some way to making the project a reality.

Plans are advancing for Middleton to have film showings at it's own cinema in the Village Hall. Under the Cinema for All community film society the Cinema Middleton Plan includes:
permanently mounted and electronically operated screen
sound system - integrated with the existing induction loop

Middleton Village Green Committee are proud to announce the switch on of the Christmas Lights will take place at the Village Green at 6.30pm on Friday 24th November 2017.
