Due to having insufficient members available to form a quorum it has been necessary to cancel the meeting.

The next scheduled meeting of the Parish Council is on Monday 9th October 2023.

The government is committed to decarbonising the UK electricity supply by 2035. A technical consultation on changes to national planning policy has been announced which may pave the way to reducing restrictions on onshore wind farms

Local Government Elections 4th May 2023

Local Government Elections 4th May 2023

Elections for the Derbyshire Dales District Council and Parish and Town Councils across the District will take place on Thursday 4th May 2023. This, of course, includes Middleton where all eight seats are up for election. The elections are co-ordinated by the District Council.

Coronation of King Charles III

Warm Spaces update

Both The Nelson Arms and the Rising Sun are offering a warm space/community hub throughout their opening hours. Tea and coffee is available at no cost and games, books, and an opportunity to chat are all on offer for anyone who would like to avail themselves of the facilities. The Parish is very fortunate to have two public houses offering these facilities.

The Council has current grant funding available for free energy efficiency upgrades for eligible households.
